Peer mentoring at the start of your studies - by students for students
The commencement of studies is an exciting but also challenging time. To make it easier, the Wiesbaden Business School (WBS) of Hochschule RheinMain offers a peer mentoring program. Experienced students (mentors) support new freshmen (mentees) with valuable tips and experience. This makes it easier to start your studies - and helps you to connect with the university community.
What is peer mentoring?
Peer mentoring means that students from higher semesters act as mentors to new fellow students at the start of their studies. They share their experiences, help with organizational questions and give practical tips about university life. The exchange takes place at eye level and facilitates integration into everyday student life.
How does the peer mentoring program help?
- Orientation - support in getting to know the campus and the new environment.
- Study organization - help with timetabling and using university platforms.
- Social integration - networking with other students and participation in events.
- Personal support - If you have any questions or problems, the mentors are there to help and advise you.
Course of the program
The program starts at the beginning of the semester during the introductory week. During this time, mentors and mentees get to know each other at various events. These include group meetings, workshops and social events to promote exchange.
Who can take part?
All first-semester students at WBS are cordially invited. Participation is voluntary and free of charge.
