Responsibilities:

In accordance with Section 44(1) of the Higher Education Act (HHG), the Faculty Council has the following responsibilities:
 

The Faculty Council deliberates on matters of fundamental importance to the faculty. 

It is responsible for

1. Adoption of examination regulations and study regulations
2. Proposals for the establishment and discontinuation of degree programmes
3. Approval of research projects
4. Proposals for development planning
5. Opinion on the target agreements pursuant to Section 7(3)
6. Decision on the appointment proposal made by the Appointments Committee
7. Decisions pursuant to Section 25, proposals pursuant to Section 26 and mandates pursuant to Section 32(4)
8. Proposals for the establishment and discontinuation of academic and technical facilities
9. Decisions on the establishment and discontinuation of research groups
10. Regulating the use of departmental facilities in accordance with the terms of use
