How to re-register?

Email notification

In December 2024, you will receive an email with the re-registration information (PDF) to your student email address.

It is important to regularly check your email, as forwarding to your private email account is not possible!

Payment of the semester fee

The semester fee of 335.52 euros must be transferred by February 21, 2025.

The semester fee must be credited to the account of Hochschule RheinMain by February 21, 2025.

Please include your student ID number (Matrikelnummer) in the purpose of the transfer.

Verification of payment receipt

You can verify the receipt of your semester fee at compass.hs-rm.de in the section "Mein Studium" > "Studienservice" > “Zahlungen”.

Outstanding claims from previous semesters

If there are outstanding claims from a previous semester, the overdue amount must also be transferred to avoid exmatriculation.

Credit balance from previous semesters

Offsetting credits with subsequent semesters is not possible.

To request a refund of a credit balance from a previous semester, apply via compass.hs-rm.de > “Menü” > “Service” > “Anträge”> “Erstattung Beiträge”.

Alternatively, submit a refund application (PDF) at the Student Office.

Deadline for re-registration

For late payment until March 31, 2025, the semester fee can be paid with a late fee of 30.00 euros.

Please pay the semester fee and the late fee, in total 365.52 euros, in one transfer.

Study/Enrollment certificates

After successful re-registration, you can print your study and enrollment certificates at compass.hs-rm.de.

Certificate of semester fee payment

At compass.hs-rm.de, you can print the certificate "Mein Studium" > "Studienservice" > “Bescheide/Bescheinigungen die Bescheinigung ”Gezahlte Semesterbeiträge für Studierende HSRM".

The semester fees change slightly from semester to semester. Here you will find an overview of the composition of the semester fees from recent years (PDF).

StudentCard validation

After successful re-registration, you can update the validity print on your StudentCard at one of the validation devices of the university starting from April 1, 2025.

Information about the Deutschlandticket (semester ticket) can be obtained from the AStA.

Re-registration in case of final examination

If you are registered for the final examination, please refer to the information sheet (Merkblatt zur Abschlussprüfung) regarding the final examination.

Address changes

You can make address changes yourself at compass.hs-rm.de.

Leave of absence

Applications for the summer semester 2025 must be submitted by February 21, 2025. Leaves of absence due to illness or an accident are not time-bound.

You can apply for a leave of absence at compass.hs-rm.de in the section “Mein Studium” > “Studienservice” > “Beurlaubung”.

Part-time study

Applications for the summer semester 2025 must be submitted by April 14, 2025.
