Astronomy lectures and campus tours

The Faculty of Engineering, in cooperation with the Rüsselsheim Sternfreunde e. V. and ESERO Germany, invites you to an afternoon of astronomy. Astronaut Amelie Schoenenwald and astrophysicist and Nobel Prize winner in physics Prof. Dr. Reinhard Genzel will give talks about their work and research.

Appointment: Friday, May 9, 2025, 2:30 p.m.
Location: Hochschule RheinMain, Rüsselsheim Campus, Am Brückweg 26, 65428 Rüsselsheim, Building A

 

Program schedule

  • 14:30: Short welcome by Vice Dean Prof. Dr. Peter Dannenmann in the large lecture hall (Room A 38) in Building A of the Rüsselsheim Campus
  • 14:35 to approx. 16:15: Campus tours (in small groups), during which various laboratories, workshops and small workshops/exhibitions are visited
  • 16:30 to approx. 17:15: Lecture and Q&A session with Amelie Schoenenwald in the large lecture hall
  • 17:30: Arrival/welcome in the foyer, Building A
  • 18:00: Lecture "Galaxies and Black Holes" by Prof. Dr. Reinhard Genzel, MPI for Extraterrestrial Physics, Garching, Nobel Laureate in Physics, Lecture Hall A038, Building A
  • approx. 19:30: Wrap-up with exhibition and culinary snacks in the foyer, Building A
