What is it?

The Media Management degree program teaches professional and methodological skills in management, design and technology, with an emphasis on business aspects and their interrelationships. During the first two semesters, students will acquire foundational knowledge in media economics, empirical media research, law, information and communication technology, media technology and design.

A key feature of the program is the option to specialize in the third semester, enabling students to select one of three focus areas “Interactive Media & User Interfaces“, “Motion Image & Sound” or “International Media Management”.

Another important aspect of the program is project-based learning: Semesters 4 and 6 are dedicated project semesters, each worth 15 CP, allowing you to apply the knowledge you have acquired to real-life projects. In the fifth semester, you will gain valuable practical experience during an internship (30 CP).

Expect hands-on training that prepares you for the demands of the media industry.

The curriculum is topical, international and practical, and is offered in a unique atmosphere at our Unter den Eichen Campus.

Semesters 4 and 6 also serve as mobility windows, offering students the opportunity to spend a semester abroad at one of our international partner universities. This is a great opportunity to improve your intercultural skills and expand your professional network, thereby increasing your prospects in the job market.

What can I do with it?

Graduates of the Media Management program are qualified for a variety of careers in media and media-related businesses. You can pursue entry level management positions in marketing, market research, financial management and controlling, personnel management and organization. Additionally, there are opportunities in the design and production of motion image and sound as well as interactive media.
