Legal basis

According to Section 11(2a) of the LBOW, the salary committee is elected by all professors of the department, on the proposal of the dean, in agreement with the presidium, for the term of office of the dean, by secret ballot and by simple majority. It consists of three voting members with equal voting weight:

aa) a professor from the department itself, whose position within the department and salary grade suggest that they are able to make an appropriate decision;

ab) a professor from a comparable department at the same or a neighboring university;

ac) the dean.
