What is it?
Social Work (M.A.) is a consecutive master's degree program with restricted admission. The core focus areas are theories of social work, current intervention strategies in the context of health care and legal aspects of social work or generalist social work, social management as well as research methodology and, if applicable, preparation for doctoral studies.
The degree program is designed for graduates who are interested in learning more about developments, improvements, and interrelationships in social work from a theoretical, methodological, and social management perspective and who are aiming to work in a senior position in the future.
The course content closely combines theory and practice, and includes a significant proportion dedicated to the field of management of social organizations and welfare economics.
80% of the classes are held on campus and 20% online in order to integrate modern teaching methods and enable innovative learning.
What can I do with it?
Graduates of the master’s degree program in Social Work are well equipped for demanding and responsible roles within social work organizations. You will be able to carry out methodologically sound analyses of social issues in the context of social work research and take on management responsibilities.
