Write together, get off to a better start: Writing night brings around 150 students together

Long Night of Unwritten Term Papers at the Faculty of Applied Social Sciences at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences on January 27, 2026

On January 27, 2026, the Long Night of Unwritten Term Papers took place at the Faculty of Applied Social Sciences at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences. From 5 p.m. to midnight, around 150 students - including many new students - took the opportunity to work on (started or still unwritten) assignments and group projects in a concentrated and supportive atmosphere at the end of the semester.

Under the motto "One page is more than none", the focus was on low-threshold motivation, staying on task together and concrete support. Students were able to work in group and individual study rooms as required and receive support with questions relating to writing and formulation.

The event was implemented in cooperation with Peer Mentoring (Applied Social Sciences), Faculty Student Council (Applied Social Sciences), Writing Advice (TeachingLearningCenter) and the Language Center (TeachingLearningCenter).

In addition to the writing focus, participants were able to actively switch off in an "Austoberaum": With materials from University Sports RheinMain, there were movement elements for short active breaks - as a balance to long periods of sitting and to "clear your head".

The next Long Night of Unwritten Term Papers is planned for the summer semester 2026; further information will be published in good time via the faculty's channels.
