What are possible contents?

You can set your own specializations in social work beyond national borders, deepen your experiences in connection with foreignness and difference, gain in-depth regional knowledge about the places of origin of social work recipients, reflect on your own privileges, understand different positions of power and deal with your ethical and political position, learn new languages or refresh and deepen your existing knowledge and, of course, much more.

And you can bring your own experiences abroad as well as activities with an international or intercultural orientation in Germany to the International studies program.

Procedure

The certificate program is divided into a compulsory modules catalog and an elective area, in which personal specializations are set for your own academic appointment. It is possible to include a wide range of activities in your international studies. The certificate points are based on the scope and duration of the activities.

Procedure

How can I participate?

Studierende während des Lernens
Step 1: Register!

It is possible to start at any time during your studies without any obligation. Registration does not commit you to anything, but allows us to provide better support and information (and us to plan activities better). Registration is done by sending the completed registration form by email to international-sw[at]hs-rm.de. You can also contact this address at any time if you have any questions about international topics.

Step 1: Register!
Step 3: Submit!

To receive the Study International certificate, you put together a portfolio consisting of the reflection and your proofs. You submit it digitally or in paper form to the International SW team. After submission, the achievements will be checked for completeness and validity. You will receive the certificate of successful completion of your international studies when your degree certificate is issued.

Step 2: Collect!

Collect points before and during your studies. The compulsory modules catalog of the certificate includes two courses taught in English and three international lectures during the course of your studies. You will receive 50 points for this. Collect an additional 100 points in different formats (course, lecture and practical experience) and bring them into your international studies. You decide for yourself when and what you would like to contribute.
