On May 6, 2025, Benedikt Krönung from Riedel Communications was a guest at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences in Rüsselsheim on behalf of FKTG - Fernseh- und Kinotechnische Gesellschaft. He organized a workshop with three exciting parts for 15 Media Technology students.
Insights into the company Riedel Communications
Benedikt Krönung began by giving an interesting overview of Riedel Communications, a leading manufacturer of live production tools and systems based in Wuppertal. He inspired the students with the diverse application areas in which the company is active. The practical experience from the industry was of particular interest to the students.
Compass session for students
In the second part, the "Compass" system was presented, which was used to explore individual strengths, weaknesses and ultimately suitable career profiles in the field of Media Technology. Especially for those students who do not yet have a precise career idea, this part was very valuable for academic appointment orientation.
Hands-on: Bolero Intercom
Finally, there was a hands-on part where a Bolero intercom network was configured together - a practical tutorial showing how theory is applied in real live production environments.
A big thank you to Riedel Communications and especially Benedikt Krönung for the exciting afternoon and the practical insights.
Special thanks go to our student Friederike Fluit for the organization, and also to Wolfgang Ruppel and Iris Bold for making this event possible.
