With its innovative idea for a low-pressure metal hydride storage system for stationary hydrogen applications, the start-up MHyCube from Hochschule RheinMain has successfully asserted itself against 16 other energy start-ups from Baden-Württemberg and across Germany. The team was invited to present its solution in the final of the Energy StartUp Cup organized by the German Energy Agency (dena) in cooperation with AXEL, the energy accelerator of fokus.energie e. V., in Berlin.
A total of 17 energy start-ups faced an expert jury in three qualifying rounds. The teams were judged in the categories Problem & Technical Solution, Marketing & Business and Price & Financing. The StartUp Cup is based on a sporting tournament and aims to draw attention to innovative energy technologies in a fun way. The most convincing energy start-ups will be determined in preliminary rounds, semi-finals and the final.
The final will take place on July 22 in Berlin. There, start-ups from the Future Energy Lab and AXEL will present their solutions for the energy transition in the cup final.
