Ableism
Ableism is discrimination and social prejudice against people with certain physical and mental abilities and needs. It is usually a devaluation of a person's physical and mental abilities and skills based on a perceived biological (physical and/or mental) norm of what a non-disabled, neurotypical person should be. Ableism can overlap with other forms of oppression such as racism and sexism. (see Critical Diversity)
Anti-Semitism
Anti-Semitism is a certain perception of Jews, which can be expressed as hatred towards Jews. Anti-Semitism is directed in word or deed against Jewish or non-Jewish individuals and/or their property as well as against Jewish community institutions or religious organizations. (see IHRA)
Mental health
as a state of well-being in which a person can develop his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully and is able to contribute to his or her community. (cf. WHO )
Racism
Racism is an ideology that devalues people based on their appearance, their name, their (supposed) culture, origin or religion. In Germany, this applies to non-white people - those who are seen as non-German, i.e. not really belonging. If people are not judged and devalued according to their individual abilities and characteristics or what they do personally, but as part of a supposedly homogeneous group, then this is racism (see AAS)
Sexism
Sexism is a type of discrimination. Sexism means the disadvantaging, devaluation, violation and oppression of a person or a group on the basis of gender. Sexism is also the idea that genders have an order or sequence. For example, the idea that men are worth more than women. (cf. bpb)
Classism
refers to discrimination based on social origin and/or social and economic position. Classism is therefore not just about how much money someone has at their disposal, but also about their status and the financial and social circumstances in which they grew up. The majority of classism is directed against people of a "lower class". In particular, homeless and unemployed people and people from the working and poverty classes are marginalized.
