| Duration: | July 1, 2025 – December 31, 2026 |
| Funding Institution or Client: | Strategic funds from Hochschule RheinMain – University of Applied Sciences and Arts |
The preparations for installing at least one bidirectional DC charging station on the Hochschule RheinMain – University of Applied Sciences and Arts campus are part of the consistent implementation of the sustainability strategy adopted in 2023. The project specifically addresses the strategy’s action areas of “Sustainable Mobility,” “Infrastructure & Operations,” and “Research & Knowledge Transfer.”
Eleven charging stations for electric vehicles are installed on the Rüsselsheim Campus, which are available to members of staff for research on charging behavior in a corporate setting. With the increasing number of electric vehicles that support bidirectional charging, the university aims to create the opportunity to study this type of operation. This project aims to establish the requirements necessary to install at least one DC charging station that supports bidirectional charging.
