Prof. Dr. Peter Dannenmann
As a computer scientist, I deal with simulation techniques on the one hand and the extraction and representation of relevant information from large amounts of data, such as those generated during the simulation of technical systems under development, on the other. My research interests here lie in the area of "digital twins", i.e. the development of computer models that depict technical systems so precisely that they can be used instead of real prototypes.
Specific areas of application are the development of computer models for predicting the remaining service life of fuel cells and the development of digital twins in the aviation sector in order to realize more efficient aircraft with electric or fuel cell propulsion in the future.
