What is it?

The focus of our two-year degree program is the in-depth and research-oriented discussion of key areas of management in national and international insurance and capital markets. The core elements of an integrated financial services industry are examined on an interdisciplinary basis using qualitative and quantitative methods.

The master's degree program is divided into the following subject areas for critical analysis: "Monetary and currency policy", "Controlling", "Risk management", "Capital investment", "Insurance management" and "Leadership and methodological skills", thus focusing on the core tasks in positions of responsibility in insurance companies. Based on the contents of the respective subject areas, students carry out an in-depth analysis of quantitative (e.g. actuarial methods or simulations) as well as qualitative (corporate governance or financial behavior) methods and procedures.

Main topics of focus

  • Key aspects of the financial services industry, taught in seminar-style classes.
  • Focus on important functional areas of the international financial services industry.
  • Development of international expertise for the special features of various institutions and market cultures.
What can I do with it?

The degree program is designed to qualify you to take on specialist and management tasks in national and international insurance and integrated financial services companies. To this end, particular emphasis is placed on training in strategic management as well as in actuarial and quantitative theories.
