All degree programs

Our Applied Computer Science degree program has been revised and adapted to the latest developments in the IT industry. Starting in winter semester 2024/25, the degree program will therefore become even more innovative and application-oriented. Important topics will include more application development (mobile, web, IoT, computer graphics), more artificial intelligence and a stronger user focus. More information will be available here in the first quarter of 2024.

What is it?

In our degree program Applied Computer Science, students acquire an application-oriented, comprehensive and broad training in computer science with a particular focus on the development of software and hardware systems. Modules on the topics of business administration and law as well as additional social skills complement the areas of computer science and provide an interdisciplinary perspective. The degree program is characterized by a good ratio of students to teaching staff. Internships in small groups and learning groups which enable students to get to know each other contribute to a pleasant learning atmosphere which is an important factor for successful studies.

What can I do with it?

Our comprehensive training in computer science means that you as a graduate are very well prepared for a wide range of careers in business, industry and services.

As a computer scientist you will not only work as a developer, but also as a systems analyst and systems architect in the operation of IT systems, in sales and in customer advisory services. Computer scientists usually work in teams, which is why, in addition to programming, communication with customers or specialist departments within one's own company is very important to ensure that projects can be successfully implemented.
