Information on staying abroad

Are you interested in going abroad during your studies? Take advantage of the opportunities that are made available during your studies!

Our faculty supports students to prepare and carry out their internships abroad. Important information for students planning on studying or intterning abroad can be found in the Handbook (PDF 377 KB) or in this presentation about studying and interning abroad. We are happy to advise you about the requirements, opportunities and procedures as well as assisting with preparing the required documents.

The faculty of Social Work maintains partnerships with universities across Europe and overseas, allowing you to study abroad at no extra cost. Here you can find an overview of our partner universities with which the Faculty of Applied Social Sciences has signed agreements.

In principle, it is possible to study at Universities in other countries. The Abroad Coordinator will gladly inform you about the conditions.

Requirements for the

  • recognition of one/two semesters at a foreign University: the Learning Agreement secures that suitable courses are chosen within modules.
  • recognition of a vocational internship semester abroad: the internship must first be recognised as suitable by the faculty. You will find infromation about the modalities in our Internship Office.

The internship must be combined with accompanying courses of a foreign university that meet the requirements of the study regulations or be accompanied by an online course of the Faculty of Social Work at the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences.

It is strongly recommended that you familiarise yourself with the study regulations of our department before studying abroad and to consult with the international coordinator about eh foreign courses chosen.
