Re-Registration Information

Re-Registration Period for the Summer Semester of 2013

If you are planning to continue your studies at RheinMain University in the upcoming semester, you need to re-register with the university during the re-registration period. Re-registration is effected by transferral of the semester fees in good time. Should you have missed the re-registration deadline, you can still re-register within the re-registration grace period. In this case, a late fee of 30 euros is charged.

For the current re-registration period and deadlines refer to the table below.

Re-Registration Deadlines & Fees

Re-Registration Period & Deadlines Fees Due
Re-registration period January, 01 2013-January 18, 2013 Semester fees
End of grace period January 25, 2013 Semester fees plus late fee of 30 euros
Deadline for petitions for leave of absence or part-time study January 18, 2013 Semester fees

How Re-Registration Works

How Does It All Work?

  • In December, you will receive an electronic mail with the information about re-registration. For the transfer of fees take special care to ensure that you include your student identification number and your name (as preprinted on the transfer form) with your transfer information so that it is possible to ascribe the payment to you.
  • Please be sure to transfer the fees on time. The amount must have been credited to RheinMain University's account by the above-mentioned date for the re-registration to take effect. Please note that the actual amount of the semester fee as well as the banking details of RheinMain University can change between semesters.
  • By transferring the semester fees in a timely and correct manner, you are automatically being re-registered. After having re-registered successfully, you can update the validity of your StudentCard using one of the validation terminals on one of the campuses of RheinMain University.
  • After the re-registration period, you can use the QIS-SOS self-service function to print all the registration and enrollment verification forms you need. You will not receive a registration confirmation from the university. Please find the verified print-outs of enrollment and registration verifications as well as verification for financial aid purposes on the university's online services page.
  • If your address has changed, make sure to update your information in time by using the QIS-SOS self-service function under online services.
  • If your semester fees are received after the regular re-registration period but before the end of the grace period, a late fee of 30 euros is charged. When transferring the late fee, you also need to take care to include your student identification number and name so that the payment can be attributed to you. If you fail to include this information, you will not be re-registered! After the re-registration grace period no further re-registration is possible.
  • If you have registered for a final examination, please take notice of the information in the special leaflet on this topic (in German only).

Further Information on Re-registration

Petitions for leave of absence or part-time study must be filed by the end of the regular re-registration period. Should an accident or long-term illness require that you petition for leave of absence in the middle of the semester, please contact Regina Besier in the Wiesbaden Admissions Office independently of the designated re-registration deadlines.

  • Find the necessary forms for petitioning for leave of absence or part time study here.

Receipts for Tax Purposes

Should you require individual receipts for tax purposes that verify the amount of semester fees you paid, an administrative fee of 20 euros is charged. Click here for a breakdown of the different components of the semester fees.
