With the Young Authors' Lecture Series on Poetics, RheinMain University of Applied Sciences is breaking new ground. The lecture series will be offered each semester as a special contribution to Wiesbaden's cultural life. As a co-sponsor of the event, the Department of Cultural Affairs of the City of Wiesbaden supports RheinMain University with hosting the series.

The authors have been asked to focus their lectures on discussing their own work. Thus, authors may elucidate their work by talking about their own lives, by commenting on their work's poetics or placing it in the context of the history of literature or of literary motifs. The authors are free, however, to shape the content of their lectures as they wish. The readings on the other hand offer insights into selected texts, sometimes from the most recent work of the currently reading author.

The events – the lectures as well as the readings – are open to the public. No admission is charged.
