Commitment to Teaching Award

Quality teaching and instruction are of central importance at RheinMain University. The Commitment to Teaching Award (formerly Excellence in Teaching Award), which has been awarded annually since 2005,  is meant to highlight outstanding achievements of instructors and make them known to a wider public. (Have a look at the award's recipients of recent years here.)

A characteristic feature of the award is that students nominate its potential recipients. The principle of student choice underlines from which professors or instructors students benefit most and what best supports them during their studies. The award is also meant to inspire all instructors at RheinMain University to try new ways of teaching and cooperating with students.

Nominations for award recipients can only be made by the Student Councils (Fachschaften) or student representatives in the various Faculty Assemblies. Only one nomination per degree program can be submitted.
