Responsibilities of the Office of the Registrar

      The responsibilities of the Registrar's Office include:

 

  • Examination regulations, examination-related legal issues, curricula: Ms. Schenk will be happy to answer all your questions related to examination regulations and curricula or to assists with interpreting them.
  • In addition, Ms. Schenk also offers advice and assistance related to general examination-related issues and in cases of legal challenges in the context of objection proceedings.
  • She is also in charge of verifications and legalizations for all kinds of documents issued by the university (for example academic records, degree certificates and other types of certification). If you need any type of certification, make sure to bring along both the originals of the documents in question as well as copies made by you. The Registrar's Office provides three copies of each issued document free of charge. Any additional copies can not be certified by the university. For this purpose, go to the local registration office (Einwohnermeldeamt).
  • The Registrar's Office issues a variety of certifications (certification of overall grades, documents for transferring to another university or other institution of higher education, certification for guest auditors, equivalence certification).
  • In addition, the Registrar's Office archives all degree certificates for 60 years (the Wiesbaden Business School has its own archive for degrees obtained after 1998).
  • Notification letters regarding the artistic aptitude tests for the degree programs in interior design and communications design are issued and sent by the Registrar's Office, and so are rejection letters based on the artistic aptitude test.
