The library of RheinMain University and of the Land Hesse offers up-to-date literature search and information facilities to all students – including students of other universities – and to the public.
With its foundation in 1971 as Fachhochschule Wiesbaden, it was first RheinMain University's branch libraries in Wiesbaden (since 1982 the Kurt-Schumacher-Ring campus) and Rüsselsheim (Am Brückweg campus) and the independent library of the Geisenheim Research Center that provided media, study areas and equipment to support its users in their academic work.
In the 1990s the branch libraries at the Bleichstraße/Betramstraße Campus with the Wiesbaden Business School and at the Unter den Eichen Campus were added.
For the time being, the last stage of this development was the integration of the library of the Land Hesse into RheinMain University, which resulted in the name change "Library of RheinMain University and the Land Hesse."
