Living and Studying Here

Buddy program

We know that the first weeks in a new environment are never easy, so we try to assign you a Student Buddy. He or she will help you with formalities and give you information about living and studying in Wiesbaden and Rüsselsheim.

German Language Courses

Basic knowledge of German makes living in Germany much easier. To improve your existing knowledge we offer an intensive German language course for Erasmus students prior to the start of the semester free of charge. Students coming with other exchange programs may participate in the classes as well. The next German intensive course will take place from 16 to 27 September 2013.

Our Language Center offers German and foreign language classes during the semester too. You can find further information here.

Studying in Wiesbaden, Rüsselsheim or Geisenheim

There are Departmental Coordinators for the exchange programs of each department at our university. Please contact your Coordinator before attending courses and lectures to discuss your curriculum with him/ her.

If you have any questions regarding the selection of courses, or have difficulties in understanding the lectures, please approach the teacher of the class or your counseling professor of the faculty.

Please be aware that the language of instruction is mostly German, although the Wiesbaden Business School and the study programs Media Management und Design have classes taught in English. However, most of the departments also offer the possibility to do projects, exams or papers in English.

You can find a list of Departmental Coordinators here.

For information about the courses, please consult the homepage of your department.

AKTIVITIES AND EXCURSIONS

Various aktivities and excursions will be organized by the Wiesbaden Business School tutors. You will get detailed information for every event one week in advance by email. Some events may require obligatory registration.

You will find a provisional agenda with this link.

All students are encouraged to take part in the sports activities organised by our university. Most of them are free of charge
