RheinMain University of Applied Sciences has been offering the part-time degree program in electrical engineering since 1999. In the meantime, numerous students have successfully graduated.
This unique opportunity allows you to acquire a university of applied sciences qualification of as certified engineer (Diplom-Ingenieur) in as little as four and a half years – just as you would in a full-time program. This is possible because your practical work experience allows us to streamline the program. The only required on-campus times at the Rüsselsheim campus are Wednesday afternoons and Saturdays. The campus has excellent transport connections and is situated in the immediate vicinity of the A3, A5 and A67 motorways. A sufficient number of parking spaces are available.
Almost all technicians and master craftspersons fulfill the admission requirements to our program. You thus save time and avoid having to attend tedious programs in order to get a high-school degree. If you completed your vocational degree with high grades and can demonstrate that you have had sufficient work experience, you can apply for an advance scholarship (Aufstiegsstipendium).
The part-time degree program in mechanical engineering is divided into two segments of studies with four semesters each and the ninth semester for writing the diploma thesis. The program offers three concentrations that are all well suited to advance your career:
In January and June, the program hosts informational events at which you can get detailed information and where the program's key contact persons will answer all your questions. Check the German home page for information on these events once these dates are approaching.
