Cooperative Degree Program Systems Engineering

Simultaneous study and vocational training: Cooperative programs constitute a dual model that combines an engineering degree program with vocational training and practical work in the industry (view the program brochure).

In a systems engineering program, future engineers are instructed in the fundamentals of electrical and mechanical engineering and information technology and are thus not specialized in just one narrow area of expertise but learn to understand larger systemic contexts and interrelations.

As vocational training and practical work accompany the program throughout, the program offers in-depth theoretical qualifications with a simultaneous intensive practice-orientation.

Core Characteristics of the Cooperative Degree Program Systems Engineering

    • The eight-semester program leads to a bachelor of engineering degree
    • After two and a half years, students already receive a Chamber of Industry and Commerce-certified vocational degree
    • The program provides student funding over four years.
    • Theoretical instruction and professional practice are closely interlinked
    • Long-term contractual relations with renowned enterprises exist
    • Graduates have outstanding career opportunities
