The cooperative degree program electrical engineering is a dual program. The program combines a two-and-a-half-year-long vocational training in an electrical trade in a partner enterprise with simultaneous enrollment in a four-year academic program in electrical engineering.

The cooperative program is divided into a first segment of studies of five semesters, during which students spend two or three days per week on campus and three to two days doing their training in the partner enterprise. After five semesters, students complete their vocational training as electronic technician by passing the Chamber of Industry and Commerce examination. The first five semesters are followed by the second three-semester segment of studies during which students specialize in the elective concentrations automation engineering, electric energy engineering or information and communication technology. At the same time, students work part-time in the partner enterprise where they did their vocational training. (Download the program flyer [in German only].)
