Environmental Analysis & Physical Chemistry Laboratory

Lab Profile

The laboratory for environmental analysis & physical chemistry consists of the laboratory proper (room A 039a) with lab countertops and fume cupboards and an ajoining room (A 035a) with the GC/MS (gas chromatography/mass spectrometry) system. The rooms are located in the basement of the south-west wing of the A building.

In all the lab classes of the second segment of studies of the bachelor's programs in

  • environmental engineeringengineering physics

as well as the master's program in

  • environmental and biological process engineering

students use the lab to conduct quite advanced experiments and projects in the areas of instrumental analytics (in particular photometry and chromatography), rheology, electrochemistry and conductometry. Moreover, the lab is also used to carry out project work as well as term-paper- and thesis-related work.
