Our everyday life is profoundly shaped by technology, and there are hardly any areas of our lives in which human efforts are not being supported by advanced machinery and sophisticated technologies. Without imaginative engineers, it is neither possible to solve global warming problems nor to satisfy our need for energy and mobility.
In recent years, skill requirements for engineers have undergone a transformation. Today's intensified customer orientation requires product developers to research and take account of highly diverse customer needs. Design and production need to consider efficiency as well as ecological aspects. Knowing languages too is indispensable for coordinating production processes that are sometimes spread across the entire globe. Moreover, more than ever before the work of engineers takes place in teams. Not only do engineers need to talk to customers, but they also need to communicate with colleagues of other disciplines. Today's engineering profession is for people who like interacting and communicating.
To be prepared for all these challenges, engineers need to receive a multifaceted education. For this, our faculty offers a broad range of attractive engineering degree programs. Our program offerings allow you to study in a classical mechanical engineering program, but you can also study information technology and electrical engineering, media engineering or industrial engineering and international management program, and we also offer programs in environmental engineering and engineering physics.
Our master's programs allow you to build on and expand your knowledge from a first degree and offer part-time and continuing education programs that are partially being supported by up-to-date online technologies.
We are moreover committed to tapping unused potential by recruiting non-traditional students for our engineerings programs, which is why we offer different forms of part-time and cooperative degree programs.
