The Center for Cooperative & Part-Time Studies (CeBiS) at our university of applied sciences was founded in 2005 with funding by the Hesse Ministry of Higher Education, Research and the Arts. The institute is located on the Rüsselsheim campus of RheinMain University of Applied Sciences, which can look back at more than 15 years of accumulating experience with part-time-oriented degree programs and continuing education offerings. 

For quite a few years, a marked trend towards different forms of part-time studies has become manifest. For many students, today's standard situation of having a job on the side is evolving into de facto part-time studies. In addition, there is an increasing number of people who are interested in different forms of studying part-time. 

CeBiS works in this field and actively engages with the widely diverse organizational, pedagogical and policy aspects of part-time degree programs that allow studying while also working.
