Prototyping Laboratory

Purposes & Equipment

The prototyping lab is used for general teaching purposes and as part of the electives offerings. Supervision is conducted by student assistants as well as the lab director.

The lab's tools and machines allow processing of wood, plastic, metals and therewith all common model building materials.

The available tools include several disk saws, bandsaws, different types of sanding and abrading equipment, jointer, a bench milling machine, different bench drilling machines, a lathe, a welder, etc. A variety of smaller machines are also on offer.

Opening Hours: The regular opening hours during semesters are published above at the beginning of each semester.

For reasons of safety, individual use of the lab can only be arranged after prior consultation with the lab director.During the preparation phases of diploma and draft presentations, the prototyping laboratory will be open and supervised continuously after the relevant dates have been posted.
