Construction Physics Laboratory

Purposes and Equipment

The construction physics laboratory is used in the general teaching context. It is located on the ground floor of building D in rooms 105 and 107. Users of the lab have access to equipment for experiments in the areas of mechanics, optics and acoustics. Furthermore, there is also equipment for doing thermal and humidity-related experiments. In addition, the lab owns a collection of construction physics materials serving as model exhibits.

After having been introduced to the lab by the laboratory director, students of civil engineering use the lab for independent experiments in the context of their fundamentals of construction physics course. Besides the evaluation and analysis of experimental results, the learning goals of the course also include the writing of experiment reports.
