Participating in the continuing education offerings of the Faculty of Applied Social Sciences of RheinMain University requires prior agreement to the institute's general terms and conditions. These are approved by participants by sending in their registration in writing.
Unless otherwise stated, registration for participating in any of the continuing education offerings can be made until four weeks before the workshop or other event starts. Registration needs to be in writing, either with a completed registration form or by e-mail. By registering, participants approve the general terms and conditions.
After their registration has been received, participants will be sent a registration confirmation of their binding registration. Registration confirmations are sent out after the last day of registration. If there are any leftover places, you can contact the institute to arrange for late registration. All fees for workshops or other events must be remitted before the beginning of the event. You will receive an individual invoice from the comptroller's office. In-time remittance is a prerequisite for participation.
Workshop fees do not include room and board. If you are looking for overnight accomodation, we will be happy to assist you.
As long as the institute receives a cancellation request four weeks before the start of the continuing education offering, participants can withdraw from their registration for any reason. Cancellation requests need to be sent in writing. Fees already paid will be reimbursed in case of timely cancellations. If we receive a cancellation request later than four weeks before the beginning of the continuing education offering, we charge a cancellation fee of 20 percent of the fee for the workshop or other event in question. Participants who cancel later than two weeks before the beginning of the continuing education offering are liable for 50 percent of the workshop or other fees.
For cancellations on the (first) day of the continuing education offering, participants are liable for the full fee. However, your registration can be transferred to a suitable substitute participant. Not attending individual sessions or parts of any continuing education offering does not entitle you to any reduction of fees.
If there is insufficient registration, continuing education offerings may be canceled by the institute. In this case, any fees that have already been remitted will be returned. Any additional claims by participants are excluded.
For individual consulting services for organizations, separate contracts will be made.
The institute reserves the right to change instructors or change schedules. This does not entitle participants to withdraw from their contract or to receive any reductions in fees.
The institute is not liable for any damages participants might suffer during their participation unless they were caused by intentional or grossly negligent actions of its vicarious agents.
To be valid, changes to the contract or side agreements need to be made in writing.
