Master of Arts Media & Design Management

Advanced skills such as these which can lead to optimal international job prospects are precisely what the RheinMain University's new Double Degree Program will be offering.

For students and tutors alike, the experience gathered in the two socially and culturally diverse continents of Asia and Europe will be profound and unforgettable. In the light of current developments in terms of media policy and world economy, RheinMain University has seized the opportunity to expand its international competence with this innovative and forward-looking program. RheinMain University's Department of Design Computer Science Media has developed this landmark Double Degree Program together with Ramkhamhaeng University's Institute of International Studies in Bangkok/Thailand on the basis of many years of successful cooperation.

Students of the Master's course in Media & Design Management have the possibility to attain an additional MBA degree during their 2 year studies by spending their third semester and their semester break in Bangkok at Ramkhamhaeng University's Institute of International Studies.

The courses/ECTS points are mutually acknowledged by both universities which enables the students to graduate with both degrees. The exchange program is of course equally accessible to students of the MBA Marketing/Management course at Ramkhamhaeng University, who will spend their second and fourth semester studying the Master of Arts course Media & Design Management in Germany.

RheinMain University's Master of Arts degree course Media & Design Management was launched in 2009 and has been in great demand amongst applicants and booked to capacity ever since. It is based on the Bachelor of Arts courses Communications Design and Media Management or similar courses and imparts knowledge from the areas of Media Management, Media Design and Media Technology. In the second and fourth semesters there is an integrated "mobility window" providing the opportunity to take part in an English-speaking exchange program.

Ramkhamhaeng University is one of the largest universities in the world. Alongside various Bachelor of Arts degree courses in the areas of Business Administration, Mass Communication Technology, Multimedia Journalism and Radio and TV Broadcasting, the University also offers various Master of Arts degree courses: MA Master of Arts in Mass Communication, MBA Master of Business Administration and the online MBA. There is also the possibility to continue with a doctorate after completing the Master's thesis. The excellent standard of education at the Institute of International Studies is due to the highly qualified teaching staff with professors from Ramkhamhaeng University and visiting professors from universities all over the world.

On completion of all the courses and the Master thesis the students of the Double Degree Program will receive their degree in "Master of Arts Media & Design Management" from the RheinMain University and in "MBA Marketing/Management" from Ramkamhaeng University.

A commission made up of members of each university will select the candidates for the Double Degree Programm according to their academic achievements. All courses in the Double Degree Program will be held in English, thereby laying the foundation for an established and internationally acknowledged university education and a successful future of their students and providing the best possible conditions for a successful start in the professional world.
