Communications Design Committee for Academic Affairs

Responsibilities

The committee of academic affairs takes care of the following responsibilities:

  • editorial and proof-reading responsibility for the course catalog

  • planning of adjunct and teaching assistant positions by semester 

  • oversight and evaluation of adjunct teaching 

  • planning of guest lectures and other talks 
  • long-term curricular and strategic academic planning 

  • assistance of other committees in all issues related to teaching, studying and research
  • planning and administering the internship semester 

  • providing general student advising
  • administration of research contracts and cooperative projects, acquisition of third-party funding, etc.
  • processing of applications for research leave (contents, substitute planning, talks on research leave semesters)
  • publication of the course catalog and documentation of academic programs
  • administering the mentoring program
