From Basic Building Blocks to Complex Projects

The communications design program at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences comprises six semesters and is completed with a bachelor of arts degree (B.A.) Applicants who want to enter the program need to pass an artistic aptitude test.

  • Study Segment A: Discovery and Orientation
    The first two semesters focus on imparting theoretical knowledge and practical know-how and on practicing artistic craftsmanship while at the same time developing judgment.

  • Study Segment B Integration
    In the third semester, the specialized individual areas are united in overarching concepts and tried out. Theoretical knowledge is supplemented by aspects that are specific to media.

  • Study Segment C Development and Focus
    In the second half of studies, emphasis lies on project work and future professional practice. Projects focus on five work areas and are complemented by external internship phases of four months all in all.
