With roughly 10,000 students, RheinMain University numbers among the 15 largest universities of applied sciences in Germany. The university was founded in 1971 under the name of Fachhochschule Wiesbaden. Six faculties offer more than 50 practice-oriented degree programs.
Next to the services offered by individual degree programs, all students have access to numerous campus-wide offerings that allow making contacts beyond one's own discipline. Up-to-date information on the various offerings that are available can be found in current brochures and on the university's website. Complementing the academic offerings of individual degree programs, the Center for Communication and Professional Skills for instance offers workshops that train participants in communication skills for the professional practice.
At the Language Center students can acquire language skills during their studies or in preparation for stays abroad and take language tests.
