Students can borrow software from the MSDN Academic Alliance program both

1. offline (by checking out media) and
2. online (via ELMS).

(1) Checking Out Media (Offline) 

To check out media, students need to submit the following forms:

• Student Use Agreement
• Consent Form for the Storage of Your Personal Information

Getting the media to you will be arranged by e-mail.

(2) Online Borrowing

Besides checking out physical media, the software can also be borrowed online. Please note the privacy and data protection information, as borrowing online entails an automatic transfer of data to Microsoft.

To borrow software online, students need to submit the following form:

• Application and Consent Form for Activating Your HDS Account for Access to the MSDNAA Software Center (SC)

Usually, users will receive a notification that their online account has been activated within one week of registration. The completed application and consent forms need to be submitted to the student services office during office hours.
